Spice Launches First Firefox Smartphone Fire One Mi–FX 1 for Rs 2,299: Intex Cloud FX and 10 Rivals

Last week Spice Retail officially launched its first Firefox OS-powered smartphone in the form of Spice Fire One Mi-FX 1. The company had promised to release the same smartphone earlier this year.

The Spice Fire One Mi - FX 1 is priced at Rs. 2,299 and would go on sale exclusively on online retailer Snapdeal for a limited period starting 29th August. Later, it would be available in major retail stores, Spice HotSpot stores and Saholic.

Spice Fire One Mi - FX 1: Key Specifications

Spice Fire One Mi - FX 1 comes with a 3.5-inch HVGA capacitive touch screen offering a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels. It is powered by a 1 GHz Processor and an unannounced RAM clock. Obviously it runs on Mozilla's Firefox OS, which is based on HTML5. Thus, it has Adaptive app Search or the Single Window Search and comes pre-loaded with Facebook, Twitter and more apps.

The entry level phone has less than average photography feature as it include only 1.3MP rear camera and a 0.3MP front-facing snapper. However, what you get is a Dual SIM (2G + 2G) support in the phone and a 2G (EDGE), Wi-Fi, and a Bluetooth connectivity options.

Another important aspect of the phone is that it supports Indian languages like Hindi, Tamil and Bangla. The company has not announced the battery capacity of the smartphone until now.

After having a look at the specs of the smartphone, the lack of 3G connectivity could possibly become one of the ailing problem for the phone in the market.
