Spice Stellar 520, Stellar 526 Budget Android KitKat Phones Officially Launched

Spice has been doing a lot of catching up with the likes of Micromax and Karbonn soaring in the Indian smartphone market. But the light at the end of the tunnel isn't far off with the company now coming in the open with not one, but two new smartphones in the budget category.

Released at Rs. 8,999 and Rs. 11,499, the Spice Stellar 520 and Stellar 526 are the newest offerings from Spice. As we mentioned before, both the devices belong to the budget category in the market. And needless to say, the devices will now challenge the best the smartphone market has to offer in the budget segment.

Spice Stellar 520: Highlighted Specifications
The first of the two, the Spice Stellar 520, as you may expect, comes running the latest Android KitKat platform. The device sports a 5-inch (12.7cms) HD OGS full lamination display. It is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad core processor and is 8.4mm slim.

The Stellar 520 offers an 8MP AF rear primary camera, that's backed by a 2MP front facing snapper. It has 1GB of RAM inside it and offers 4GB of internal storage space. Although the device's memory can be further expanded to another 32GB. The device will also be juiced by a decent 2000 mAh battery.

Other features include dual SIM, 3G and 2G capabilities, Wi-Fi tethering, Bluetooth 3.0, HSPA support, GPS/AGPS/GMS, and host of pre-embedded apps inside the device. Spice has also thrown in a free flip cover worth Rs. 500 with the device.

Spice Stellar 526: Highlighted Specifications
The Spice Stellar 526, on the other hand, offers a similar 5-inch display with On-Cell IPS technology. It is powered by a 1.5 GHz hexa core processor and is 8.3mm slim. It also runs on the Android KitKat OS.

The Stellar 526 offers a similar 8MP AF rear primary camera, that's backed by a 3.2MP front facing snapper. It has 1GB of RAM inside it and offers 8GB of internal storage space. Also the device's memory can be further expanded to another 32GB. The device will also be juiced by a 2500 mAh battery.

Other features include dual SIM, 3G and 2G capabilities, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, FM Radio, and any other connectivity features that you might expect from a device as such.
