Stylistic S01: Fujitsu To Launch Android ICS Smartphone For Senior Citizens

    It is given that elderly are not very comfortable with technology. Let's face it they are from a whole different generation. Fjitsu has teamed up with Orange to launch their new smartphone Stylistic S01, which is said to be elderly friendly. The new smartphone is to be launched in European countries and in the US.

    The company claims the smartphone is loaded with features specially designed to make things easy for the older generation.

    The smartphone is said to come with unique screen feature to eliminate accidental presses. The user will require to press hard on the touchscreen to access an icon. The feature is designed to give a key pad like feeling.

    The smartphone, apparently also adjusts the sound of phone calls, to help the user hear better. Also, the frequency range of sound is said to be adjustable according to age, to help in audibility. But the most interesting feature is, the company claims the smartphone can slow down the speech-rate of fast-talking callers in real time, without any delay.

    The Smartphone will also come equipped with a loud alarm, which the user can set-off, in case of an emergency.

    Stylistic S01 will run Android 4.0 aka Ice Cream Sandwich and will come with a 4-inch display, 1.4 GHz Qualcomm processor, 4 GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, 512 MB RAM, 8.1 MP rear camera and a 0.3 MP front-facing shooter The company has not disclosed any info on the battery.

    The Smartphone looks revolutionary and perhaps, older people can finally avail on technology that is useful to them. There is no information on when or if the device will be available in India. If we get our hands on any info regarding the same, we will surly let you know.
