Tag Heuer Meridiist Infinite Luxury Phone Features ‘perpetual power reserve’
From luxury watches to designer sunglasses, Tag Heuer has always been a prominent swiss brand.
Not a lot of people know that Tag Heuer also deals in luxury cell phones in select markets around the world. Made from the finest materials available, an average Tag Heuer phone will cost you above $5000 ( about Rs. 300,000).
Most recently, Tag unveiled its latest member in the Meridiist range of luxury phones at Baselworld 2014.
Dubbed as the the Meridiist Infinite, the luxury phone is unique in many ways. For starters, the phone features perpetual power reserve -it charges its own battery while in standby mode.

The technique behind main screen are based on thin photovoltaic cells which will charge the phone automatically.
Tag Heuer has achieved this impressive feat using Wysips Crystal. Made by Sunpartner Technologies, Wysips Crystal incorporates transparent photovoltaic component, which is placed between the sapphire glass and the LCD display.
Talking about its specs sheet, the Meridiist Infinite features a 2.4-inch LCD display having a resolution of 320 x 320 pixels resolution. The device has a 8GB of internal memory, a 5MP rear-facing camera and is crafted out of carbon and titanium. This luxury phone will be manufactured in limited quantities ( around 1,911).
The Meridiist Infinite is expected to go on sale in July at select retailer and high-street jewelers. Tag Heuer hasn't announced the retail price of this majestic phone.
