BlackBerry smartphones were once iconic status symbols for any business executive. The once iconic company, BlackBerry, has lost 80% of its market share over a course of time. The company, best known for its QWERTY-keypad phones, is no more a market leader.

However, BlackBerry CEO John Chen, seem to be optimistic about its company's turnover. Although he admits that BlackBerry might never be iconic again but with the recent launch of the Z3 mid-range phone things have started to pick.

The Z3, BlackBerry's first new phone under John Chen, is being seen as a success. The mid-range phone, which is priced at Rs. 16,990, has opened to fabulous response in emerging nations.

Other than the BlackBerry Z3, the company's existing BB 10 OS-powered phones , including the BlackBerry Z30 , is now available at Rs 34,990 under a limited period offer as part of BlackBerry India's 10th anniversary celebrations. The special price is valid for a period of 60 days and will be available at all BlackBerry retail outlets in the country. BlackBerry Z10, the first ever BlackBerry 10 handset , too received a big price cut in February earlier this year and is now selling at Rs 17,990.
