Nokia known to use Symbian platform in it's handsets, switched over to the Windows Phone 8 for it's lumia series of samrtphones. The name Lumia is derived from the Finnish word Lumi, which means snow.
The previous Lumia models did not fare that well in the market as the Finnish-company would have hoped. However, Nokia are well on the way to release their new Lumia handsets in India.
