Earlier this week, Sony quietly unraveled the Xperia Z4 in its home market - but the new flagship handset isn't really an upgrade. Unfortunately, the Xperia Z4 won't help the famed electronics giant to gain much ground in terms of smartphone market share.
Now, reports are coming in that Sony is preparing to launch the alleged successors of Sony Xperia Z3 Compact (D5800 series) and Xperia Z Ultra (C6800 series) in the near future. Apparently, both devices were spotted in an Indonesian Telecom regulatory list.
According to a report published in GSM Arena, Sony E5803 model number corresponds with the successor of the Z3 Compact D5803 and will likely to called the Xperia Z4 Compact. Similarly, E6683 and E6883 model numbers could be the follow up to the Xperia Z Ultra C6683/C680.
Although not many details were available at the time of the leak, it looks like new info on the two phones are set to emerge in the coming days.
Unfortunately, there are no details on the matter for the moment, but there's a high chance that the Xperia Z4 Compact will be equipped with a 4.5-inch Full HD display and a Snapdragon 810 processor. The Xperia Z4 Ultra, on the other hand, is expected to get a smaller 5.7-inch QHD screen, a Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB of RAM and a large battery life.
