Videocon A51: First Phablet With Android ICS and Dual Core Processor On Its Way

After taking a leap into the tablet market back in December, Videocon will be entering the phablet race, as it has announced its first ever tablet-smartphone hybrid the Videocon A51.

The handset which will run on Android 4.0. Ice Cream Sandwich will sport a 5 inch Multi touch screen with FWGA 854 × 480 pixel resolution display, 1GHz Qualcomm dual core processor, 512MB RAM, 4GB internal storage, micro SD with support up to 32 GB, 5MP auto focus rear camera with LED flash and a front 0.3MP camera and 2000 mAh. As for the connectivity the device will come with support for 3G, 2G, Bluetooth 3, Wi-Fi, micro USB, 3.5mm jack and GPS. The tablet is expected to be priced at Rs. 7,500 to Rs. 8,000.

These are pretty impressive specifications considering the price range. Micromax recently launched it 's Budget Phablet Canvas Viva A72 and the Videocon's new device will try to over run it. Lets have a look at Viva A72's specifications.

Canvas Viva A72 sports a 5 inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, 1GHz single core processor, Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread OS, dual SIM support, 256MB RAM, 110MB internal storage, micro SD card slot supporting up to 32GB additional storage, 3MP rear camera, VGA front camera, 2G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3 and a 2,000 mAh Li-Ion battery. The device is priced at Rs 6999.

As you can see Videocon A51 is a superior device judging by the specs and will be a tough challenger to the other budget phablets existing in the market.
