Vivo Teases ‘Retina Scanner’ For Forthcoming X5 Pro Android Smartphone
With the Xiaomi Mi5 quickly approaching with a release later this year, Vivo surely working hard on the much-hyped X5 Pro Android smartphone. New rumours have surfaced talking about the upcoming flagship smartphone from the company that are slated for launch in the coming days.
However, today, the Chinese handset manufacturer confirms that the Vivo X5 Pro will come with eye retina technology. Basically Vivo is talking about this upcoming handset employing eye recognition technology, or Eye ID.

Vivo claims that this technology is going to be more secure than any other authentication method, as the information its sensor sees "can't be copied". To be precise, Vivo wants to introduce a retina scanner which will scan your eyes before it unlocks your device.
This strategy could give Vivo an edge up over the popular Samsung Galaxy S6, while still allowing the company to deliver the new X5 Pro, before the arrival of the iPhone 7 later this year.
If reports are to be believed, the Vivo X5 Pro is expected to flaunt a metal build, 2.5D curved glass on the front, a massive 3,500 mAh battery, a USB Type C connector, and the ability to take 32 MP pictures with its front camera. The handset will likely to feature the second-generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset.
At this point we have no details to go on aside from the fact that rumours have already started swirling about the Vivo X5 Pro. The next-generation flagship phone from Vivo is said to go official in China on May 7.
