Vodafone, a name so familiar when it comes to the telecom network services is now into something more relevant and most importantly interesting. Vodafone has been serving the customers with its unique customer services for a long time now and is renowned as one of the global giant mobile service providers. Vodafone now plans something different. Earlier, Vodafone used to have their Sims integrated to reputed brands in mobile handset manufacturing and there by promoting their business in a small scale. But now Vodafone will undertake the entire mobile service by manufacturing smart phones under its name.
The news is true and Vodafone has already started the procedures. The specifications are already announced, or say well assumed. The new mobile handset from Vodafone will have a 2.8 inch capacitive touch screen display. The latest handset will run an Android version 2.2. The manufacturing of the latest handset however will be under taken by the Huawei, a respected name in high end mobile manufacturing industry. The new Vodafone phone will be marketed under the name ‘Smart'. The new Vodafone phone will be fitted with a 2 mega pixel camera and will have a performance guaranteed 528 MHz ARM processor. The graphical solution is excellent with the device featuring an Adreno 200 Graphics Processing Unit (GPU).
The connectivity of the new mobile is decided to be a most updated one. The new Vodafone phone will be 3G compatible. The connectivity will be secured with the device having its efficient WiFi and Bluetooth devices. Smart will have an impressive data storage capability with the new mobile phone having an on the board memory storage of 130 MB which can be duly expanded with an external microSD card up to a 32 GB. The power unit in the system is brilliant with the phone claiming to have a standard talk time of up to 250 hours on 2G and 380 hours on 3G with the help of its 1200 mAH battery.
The new mobile handset will arrive at the customer hands pre-loaded with amazing applications like Vodafone music, Vodafone find and go and even a GPS navigator. The new mobile handset will come in custom black and white colours.
Vodafone has also announced its Android QWERTY device, the Webbox this June. The device was first developed for a pilot project in Haryana. The added advantage of EDGE can be experienced with the device. It is capable of using an ordinary Television as its display. It will be priced at Rs 5,799.
The budget Smartphone from Vodafone meanwhile will have a price in India around Rs 6,999.
