Obi Mobiles, headed by former Apple CEO John Scully and Inflexionpoint launched its first smartphone in India dubbed as Octopus S520. The device was launched via Snapdeal at Rs 11,990.

Obi Octopus S520: Key Specification

The Obi Octopus S520 sports a 5-inch HD IPS display and the company claims that the thickest part of the device is 8.4mm.

It is powered by a 1.7GHz octa-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and following the ongoing trend in India, you will find the phone using the Android 4.4 KitKat OS. Moreover, the phone comes with an all-aluminium back panel.

The Dual SIM (3G+3G) smartphone comes with support for 3G, 8GB onboard storage can be expanded further up to 32GB.

Imaging aspect is taken care by an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and USB 2.0.

The device is fueled by an 1800mAh battery that offers 240 minutes of talktime and 180 hours of standby time.
