Xiaomi To Launch Mystery Product in China on December 9
Xiaomi on Friday sent out media invites for a December 9 press event in China, where it is expected to announce either a new version of Redmi 1S, or a budget tablet.
The Beijing-based company, which recently became the world's third largest smartphone maker, is reportedly preparing to release a mystery product on December 9 in Beijing.

Word on the street is that the company could announce the low-end tablet that may feature 9.2-inch 720p HD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, LTE connectivity and 1GB of RAM. The rumor also suggests that the forthcoming tablet will be affordable.
Other possible rumors claim that Xiaomi could launch the successor to the Redmi 1S. The original model was a huge hit in several Asian countries, including India. So, there's a chance we'll see its successor this month at a December 9 event.
Moreover, rumor has it that Xiaomi might unveil the much hyped successor to the Mi4 at the upcoming CES 2015. There are no reports about pricing and availability but one can assume that the upcoming handset might come with 5.7-inch QHD (2K resolution) display and a Snapdragon 810 processor under the hood. The Consumer electronics show (CES) is talking place during the first week of January at Las Vegas.
Back in India, Xiaomi has finally started to retail the Redmi Note in two variants: one with standard 3G connectivity, and the other with 4G LTE The Redmi Note 4G costs Rs. 9,999 in India.
