Xiaomi Mi 3 Review: Camera and Video
To be perfectly honest, we weren't really expecting big things from the Mi 3's camera. Mostly since it's a budget offering and you know what kind of cameras we usually get in that segment. But being said that, Xiaomi's Mi 3 proved us wrong.
The device's built in 13MP sensor is not that bad. In fact, it does a decent job in terms of both indoor and outdoor imaging. Similar to the software involved, the Mi 3 comes with a custom camera interface.

And although it has been set to Simple Mode by default, there's also an Advanced Mode that helps you in increasing the number of controls available.

The toggles for the same include flash, HDR, skin tone enhancements and more. You can also find settings that can make you image even better and more sharp.

Heading deeper into it, the Advanced Mode also offers you focus controls. There's a dedicated macro setting and manual focus, apart from ISO and shutter speed control. You can also make adjustments to the white balance and exposure compensation.

Apart from that, the front facing camera for the device is also quite adequate, and should be a perfect fit for selfies or video calls. You won't have issues with image detailing and color reproduction since the camera sensor is quite capable of handling any sort of environment.
