Xiaomi Mi Note Pro Vs Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Vs Apple iPhone 6 Plus : Face off
Earlier last week, Xiaomi launched an exciting new product, the Mi Note Pro, in Beijing. Yes, it is a phablet, but it will cost slightly above your expectations.
The device will cost 3299RMB (Rs. 32,742) for the 64GB model. The phablet will be on sale in China on January 27, with global availability (including India release) hasn't been announced yet.

The high-end phone will feature a 5.7-inch QHD Gorilla Glass 3 protected display, a Snapdragon 810 processor, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of ROM, a 13MP rear-facing camera, a 4MP UltraPixel front-facing shooter, a 3,000mAh battery, MIUI 6 ( Android 4.4 KitKat), HIFI sound, Dual-SIM and LTE ( Cat.9) connectivity.
To be precise, the Mi Note Pro is quite different from the company's previous offerings. The handset should be seen as a glorified product in a lot of ways - from positioning to specifications to marketing. To be honest, the Mi Note Pro is an answer to Samsung's Galaxy Note 4 and Apple iPhone 6 Plus.
Here, we compare three top-ranked smartphones to date-the Xiaomi Mi Note Pro, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and the Apple iPhone 6 Plus. Here we go!
Xiaomi Mi Note Pro Vs Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Vs Apple iPhone 6: Design
The Mi Note Pro is all together a different kind of product. The Chinese company has used a curved glass front and back, making the design really top-notch in nature. It measures 155.1 x 77.6 x 6.95 mm and weighs in at 160grams.
Apple's phablet-sized iPhone 6 Plus looks very similar to the iPhone 6. The phone has a rugged feel and edgy corners. The device measures 7.1mm in terms of thickness, which is impressive for a phone this size.
Samsung's Galaxy Note 4, on the other hand, is slightly thicker at 8.5 mm and weighs around 175 grams. Talking about the design, the Note 4 feels a lot better compared to its predecessor. The phone still uses a lot of plastic; although it has a metal trim.
Xiaomi Mi Note Pro Vs Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Vs Apple iPhone 6: Display
With its 5.7-inch QHD display it's a huge jump in size and resolution. In comparison, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 remains a challenge to the Mi Note Pro (5.7-inch, Super AMOLED, QHD). Apple iPhone 6 Plus, on the other hand, sports a 5.5-inch FHD display. For Apple, the 5.5-inch handset is an all together a new direction.
Xiaomi Mi Note Pro Vs Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Vs Apple iPhone 6: Software
Xiaomi's MIUI 6 seems similar to many, so there's nothing epic about the UI. The custom UI offers a number of enhancements in the form of themes, animations, and ringtones.
Let's be clear. If you are based out of Asia, the native UI is going to be appreciated. However, if you are based out of Europe, then it's going to be a challenge for a user to understand the slapped UI.
iOS 8 is a key selling point of the iPhone 6 Plus. Apple is known for providing exceptional software experience. The iPhone 6 Plus offers a number of special features that are exclusive to the device, for instance, you can view the home screen in landscape.
The Galaxy Note 4 comes pre-loaded with Android 4.4 KitKat and Samsung's own TouchWiz interface on top. We're not convinced with Samsung's TouchWiz, but it still has a potential to change the way we see things. Notably, the S Pen and its associated features worked liked a charm.
Xiaomi Mi Note Pro Vs Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Vs Apple iPhone 6: Processor, Storage and Connectivity
The Mi Pro Note is one of the first devices to have a Snapdragon 810 processor. It has a healthy 4GB of RAM.
Samsung Galaxy Note 4 uses a 2.7 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 805. It comes with 3 GB of RAM.
Apple's A8 chipset powers the Apple iPhone 6 Plus. Of course, the A8 is more powerful than the A7. However, the iPhone 6 Plus still comes with a dual-core processor and has a mere 1GB of RAM inside.
As we mentioned earlier, the Mi Note Pro will be made available in just one model, 64GB. Similarly, the Note 4 has 32GB of internal storage. Apple, on the other hand, offers three options: 16, 64- and 128 GB. All three handsets support 4G LTE connectivity.
Xiaomi Mi Note Pro Vs Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Vs Apple iPhone 6: Camera
The Xiaomi Mi Note Pro has a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera, and a 4-megapixel front shooter, just like the HTC One (M8). Early reports suggest the camera to be at par with the Galaxy Note 4.
The Galaxy Note 4 has a 16MP rear camera and comes with Smart OIS (optical image stabilisation). The HDR mode has also been improved. The Note 4 has a 3.2MP front shooter for the ultimate selfies. The iPhone 6 Plus, on the other hand, has the same 8MP iSight camera but has added a number of upgrades including optical image stabilisation. Notably, you can also record slow motion video at 240fps using an iPhone 6 Plus.
Xiaomi Mi Note Pro Vs Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Vs Apple iPhone 6: Battery and Verdict
The Mi Note Pro is powered by a 3000mAh battery, which is the same capacity as the one inside the 4G-enabled Redmi Note. The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 battery is a 3,220mAh Lithium-Ion one. The device also supports Quick charging mode which means that the Note 4 charges the battery from 0 % to 50% in 33 minutes. The iPhone 6 Plus, in the meanwhile, is stuffed with a 2,915mAh non-removable battery inside. The handset seemed to be decent battery life.
To be precise, the Xiaomi Mi Note Pro is going to be a huge hit when it goes on sale in India sometime later this year (unconfirmed). The device has got the right design and the right price.
Samsung Galaxy Note 4, on the other hand, has its own added advantages. The handset appears to be the best business smartphone onto market today. However, the device is going to cost Rs. 57,000.
In the meanwhile, Apple iPhone 6 Plus is brilliant for those who like the way Apple projects its devices. With its 5.5-inch FHD screen, the iPhone 6 Plus is a large phone. However, again, the handset will cost users upwards of Rs. 62,000 in India.
