Xiaomi Mi3 Boasts 15,000 Unit Sales in 2 Seconds: Marketing Gimmick or Honest Strategy?
Xiaomi's entry into the Indian market and the popularity surrounding the company has panned out like a dream. The example of that being the recent release of the Mi3 handset that changed the entire meaning of the term "budget category." But how is it doing number-wise.
Well, apparently, according to reports flowing in from all sectors, Xiaomi claims to have sold as many as 15,000 Mi3 units in as less as 2 seconds. The sale happened as a part of only the third flash sale that took place via Flipkart.

Going by the numbers that were posted by the company, it seems highly improbable that a handset could be sold out in this less time. However, it does seem like Xiaomi pulled off the inevitable and is easily on its way in becoming one of the prime handset makers in the native market.
"Mi 3 flash sale in India today, out of stock in 2 secs," Xiaomi's Hugo Barra announced via his official Twitter handle. And if the information is coming directly out of a company hotshot, we can only guess that the news is a true one.

However, if you are wondering hard as to how a company can actually pull off such a feat and experience clearing out of stock in just 2 seconds, you will have to understand the basic concept behind it.
As GSMAreana rightfully puts it: "Well, it's not about completing your order, it's all about managing to put a unit into your cart that Xiaomi counts. It's not the best figure for comparison purposes, but it's certainly one Xiaomi would want you to remember."

It is yet to be seen how Xiaomi does with its upcoming range of products in the upcoming days. However, if we are to go by that old saying "morning shows the day" then the company is actually set up for big things.
