For over ten years now, the fierce battle was going on between Apple, Samsung, Motorola, LG and others. But, now we can see some fresh competitors from the mainland China like Xiaomi and Huawei entering the market and already giving a tough competition to the oldies. Xiaomi plans to take down Apple with high-end budget devices like Mi Note, Mi4 etc.... But Xiaomi has a major competitor too in this neck to neck battle.

Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Huawei is also giving its best by producing high-end smartphones, which are getting a pretty good score and response in the market. We can see that both Xiaomi and Huawei have placed all their devices in the mid-ranged segment. Hence boosting up their sales rapidly and making it really tough for the others to breathe. Huawei with its upcoming Ascend series is trying to overpower Xiaomi but on the other hand Xiaomi is going for a "Big Bang!!"

Xiaomi has captured most of the market and has flooded it with all its devices with powerbanks, earphones, etc and has shown an outstanding growth within a short span of time. This war shall continue and never end as the audience want more from them. We can't clearly declare a winner and end it.

Recently, Xiaomi released a new smartphone in the market the Mi4 at around Rs 20,000. Specs wise, Xiaomi Mi4 has got everything from a 5-inch IPS display to 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processors and Adreno 330 GPU, 3GB RAM, Li-Ion 3,080mAh battery and more. Both the Xiaomi Mi4 and the Honor 6 have quite similar designs. They have the same 5 inch screen sizes and hence body ratio are also of similar size. The Xiaomi Mi 4 has a metal band around it while the Honor has something which appears to be a metal band but is made of plastic. Both the phones have back panels made of glass and also share a similar watermark.

The power button and volume rockers on both the phones are placed more or less in the same place. One major difference is that,Mi4 has capacitive touch buttons while the Honor 6 uses an on screen navigation bar. The Honor 6 is lighter and thinner at 7.5 mm and 137 g than the Xiaomi Mi4 which has got 8.9 mm thickness at 149 grams but the design of the Mi4 seemed to stand out.

The Xiaomi phone surely feels more premium in the hand while compared to the Huawei, however, Honor 6 has got a beautful screen display at 445 ppi.

Both the phones have 13MP primary cameras but that does not mean they are the same. The image size is around the same but from the sample photos taken by us it is clear that the Honor 6 wins. The photos on the Huawei Honor 6 came out much more natural and there is also more clarity than the photos taken with the Xiaomi Mi4. The photos taken with the Xiaomi camera were overly saturated.

This was not the case with the secondary camera. The Honor sported a 5MP shooter while the Mi4 had an 8MP camera. The Honor 6's front camera was quite dissapointing to say the least. The Mi4 on the other hand although a little saturated took much better quality photos. An added feature is that it try's to guess your age and sex. Warning: Don't let your girlfriend use the front facing camera.
