We have said this earlier, and we will keep saying this. Xiaomi is here to stay. And examples of that could be derived from the previous craze experienced by the Mi 3 handset. But with all the excitement subsiding, it's time the new Redmi 1S picked up from where the Mi 3 left.
After attaining great success in the market via the Mi 3, Xiaomi launched the much-awaited Redmi 1s in India via a flash sale on Flipkart. Apparently, all the 40,000 units of the entry-level phone that were made available for users have been sold out in a mere 4.2 seconds.
Xiaomi is betting big on the success of this new handset, and we have to say that it started out in the right direction. And with the first batch of units now being sold out so fast, one has to give credit to the company for striking the exclusivity deal with Flipkart.
While Flipkart is yet to announce if the phone will be back on shelves next Tuesday, its highly probable that Xiaomi will indeed continue its current sales approach with the handset. However, that has created a sort of backlash from users who haven't been able to access the handset.
