Xiaomi Redmi 1S is Available for Rs 4,599: Here's What You Need to Know

    With Xiaomi Redmi 2 is about to take over the Indian market, its predecessor Redmi 1S, which is out of production will be made available once again at a price of Rs. 4,599. But, the thing is user will either get a refurbished version or the unboxed version Redmi 1S. Also the unboxed version of Redmi 1S will be available for a bit higher price which is Rs. 4,999.

    Chinese handset manufacturer Xiaomi, has partnered with Overcart for this process. With this collaboration, the refurbished options, defected or damaged models are restored to perfect condition and then sold. Moreover, the unboxed version will be slightly higher in price, as the phone remains unused, although the box has been opened.The Xiaomi has started testing this process back in Januay and expected to implement the same strategy in the future for more device.

    Recapping the specs, Redmi 1S sports a 4.7-inch display with a resolution of 1280x720 pixels which translates 312ppi. Redmi 1S is clocked at 1.6GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor and Adreno 305 GPU alongside 1GB of RAM. It employs 8MP rear camera, 1.6MP front snapper and runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean on top of MIUI 5.

    Further, it carries a dimension of 137 x 69 x 9.9mm and weighs around 158grams. Priced at Rs 5,999, this dual SIM smartphone is juiced with a 2000mAh battery and is available exclusively on e-commerce site Flipkart.
