Xiaomi is currently running a contest on its Mi India Facebook page. On the post, Xiaomi mentioned 'Something is coming for sure and here's your chance to score a priority pass'. The post further asks users to tag everyone you know and share it.

The puzzle includes words such as 'Snapdragon, ‘QuickCharge' and 'expandable' which suggest that the tech giant will soon launch its much-awaited Redmi 2 into the Indian market. Notably, the contest ends March 11, so one should expect the launch to take place in the third week of March.

Xiaomi Redmi 2, the successor of the Redmi 1s, which made its debut in China earlier this year, is finally coming to India.
The Redmi 2 features a 4.7-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 720 x 1280. Under the hood is a 64-bit quad-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 CPU with the Adreno 306 GPU crunching graphics, paired with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of native storage inside. The makers have added a 2200mAh battery inside and Android 4.4.4 is pre-installed. The phone offers LTE connectivity as well as an expandable storage. Back and front-facing shooters weigh in at 8MP and 2MP respectively.

In other news, Motorola Moto E (Gen 2) is set to launch in India on March 10. The Lenovo-owned company has already revealed that the Moto E (2015) will be available in India exclusively via Flipkart, similar to other Moto devices.

Both the Moto E (Gen 2) and the Redmi 2 feature similar technical specifications and features. It will be interesting to compare these two devices in the coming days.
