Xiaomi Redmi Note Pre-Order Starts For Rs. 8,999 via Flipkart: Top 10 Phablets in Threat Signal

Xiaomi has been one of the revelations this year, as far as smartphone manufacturers are concerned. There are several different names in the market, although none have gone viral as that of Xiaomi and its handsets such as the Redmi 1S.

Now, heading toward the end of the year, the Chinese handset maker has successfully jumped into the phablet boat with the launch of the brand new Xiaomi Redmi Note. And we are sure it's indeed heading toward big numbers in terms of sales.

Going through the specs of the phablet one more time, the new Redmi Note packs a 5.5-inch HD display having a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The screen panel is based on the IPS technology and offer 178-degree wide viewing angles. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

It is powered by an octa-core processor by MediaTek (MT6512) processor clocked at 1.7GHz. The 4G LTE variant of the Redmi Note comes powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset clocked at 1.4GHz. This one also uses Adreno 305 GPU as well. Both these also use same 2GB of RAM.

The Redmi Note phablet features a dual-SIM support with TD-SCDMA/HSPA support on the first SIM slot and GSM/EDGE on the second SIM slot. The 4G LTE variant is a single SIM handset. Moreover, the phablet comes with a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera, alongside a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter.

In terms of storage, both these devices come with 8GB of internal storage but varies a bit on microSD card. The Octa Core variant supports 32GB and the 4G LTE unit supports 64GB additional storage.

Other features of the Xiaomi Redmi Note include: 3G, Dual SIM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and more. The MIUI v5 Android 4.4 (KitKat) powered device packs a massive 3,100mAh battery.
