Xiaomi Redmi Note To Launch in India Next Month: Company Official

Back in March, Xiaomi which is now one of the highly known smarpthone brand in India launched the Redmi Note smarpthone in China. But rumors that suggest the launch of the same handset in India have been circulating among the fans in a massive way. The popularity that the Chinese company has achieved in the Indian market via the flash sales of the Redmi 1S have been phenomenal.

Anyway, coming back to the India launch of the Redmi Note smarpthone in India, recently, India head for Xiaomi - Hugo Barra has confirmed the India launch of the device. However, the company official didn't indulge himself towards revealing the release date.

However, another important figure for Xiaomi in India - Manu Jain, head of India operations, revealed later saying that the device will hit store shelves next month, which is December. As far as the pricing of the device is concerned, previous reports claim that the device would be priced around Rs. 9,999.

Xiaomi Redmi Note: Key Specificiations

The Redmi Note packs a 5.5-inch HD display having a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The screen panel is based on the OGS technology and offer 178-degree wide viewing angles. It is powered by an octa-core processor by MediaTek.

The device will be made available in two versions: one with a 1.4GHz clock speed and the other with a 1.7GHz clock speed. The 1.4 GHz variant will feature 1GB of RAM, while the 1.7GHz variant will incorporate 2GB of RAM.

The Redmi Note phablet features a dual-SIM support with TD-SCDMA/HSPA support on the first SIM slot and GSM/EDGE on the second SIM slot. Moreover, the phablet comes with a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera, alongside a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter.

Other features of the Xiaomi Redmi Note include: 3G, Dual SIM, Wi-Fi, 8GB of on-board storage, microSD card slot, Bluetooth, GPS and more. The Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean powered device packs a massive 3,200mAh battery.

This is the smartphone that was launched in China, so you can expect a bit of changes while it launches in India.
