Xiaomi Ropes In Ex-Google Employee Jai Mani As Lead Product Manager in India
The next flash sales from Xiaomi is due to go live tomorrow and another surprising move has already been taken by the company in India. The popular Chinese smartphone maker has, in fact, hired former-Google employee Jai Mani as its lead product manager in India. The announcement was made by Hugo Barra, Vice President of International Operations for Xiaomi via his Google+ account.

Mani, who was residing in San Francisco has moved to Bangalore to lead the product management team for Xiaomi India and is working alongside Rohit Ghalsasi, assistant product operations manager, Xiaomi India.
Jai has worked with Google most of his career, where he was a part of the Android and DoubleClick teams during his tenure. He had left Google in 2013 to work with an unnamed start-up. Although, it is not sure what Mani will be doing for Xiaomi in India, at the moment, it is said that he will be involved in the localization of the Mi products for the Indian market.
If you are not aware, it should be noted that Xiaomi put up another flash sale for the Redmi 1S smartphone in the Indian market tomorrow i.e. October 14. According to Flipkart, 100,000 units of the Redmi 1S will be offered this time.
