Xolo is aiming at big things this year in terms of smartphone sales and the numbers generated. While the likes of Micromax and Karbonn are already generating numbers, it seems like Xolo isn't far behind in catching up to them.
Xolo, at an event held in New Delhi today, unveiled its brand new Play 8X-1000 handset. The biggest feature that the handset offers out of the box is the new HIVE interface from Xolo that promises improved user experience.
Before heading on to the main device, it is customary to say a thing or two about the new HIVE UI. Apparently, it is Xolo's proprietary user interface platform, which runs over Android. You can read more about the HIVE UI here.
As you may have expected already, the UI has been built on the lines of Xiaomi's MIUI and features customized UI elements including themes, a new launcher, widgets, customized system apps that offer additional features. There's even the ability to connect with Xolo's software development team to offer feedback.

Forget dual and quad core. This new Xolo handset comes with the power of 8 cores inside it. The device, itself, is powered by true Octa-Core that operates at 1.4 GHz.
As expected from a device of this calibre, the Xolo 8X-1000 has been fitted with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for a toughened exterior. The device's thin side bezels give you easy handling and make sure it's a perfect fit in your hands.
