The budget smartphone segment is getting hotter with each passing day. The rise of low-end Android phones in India, after the success of the Moto E, has prompted manufactures to focus on the affordable segment.
To counter Moto E's dominance, domestic player Xolo has announced the arrival of A700s in India at Rs. 7,299. The success of last year's A700 has been introduced in the country under Rs. 8,000 price slab.
The competition in the affordable segment is rather tough, and to make sure buyers notice brands like Xolo, the company today launched the Moto E rival in India. The new A700s is yet another budget phone for those who don't care much about high-end devices.
The entry level Xolo A700s cost Rs. 7,299. The device is exactly same as the Moto E in respect of features and specifications. However, the handset does not run on Android 4.4 Kitkat mobile OS, rather it uses Jelly Bean.
Xolo A700s - Highlighted Specifications
Specs-wise, the A700s sports a 4.5-inch qHD display with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels. It is powered by a 1.3 GHz dual-core MediaTek 6572 processor with 395 MHz Mali 400 GPU, coupled with 1GB of RAM, 4GB of on-board storage and a microSD card ( upto 32GB).
It has a 5MP rear-facing camera with LED Flash, 720p HD video recording and a 0.3MP front-facing shooter for selfies. Connectivity options on the phone are follows: 3G, dual-SIM, Wi-Fi, FM Radio, GPS and Bluetooth. The makers have added an 1800mAh battery fitted inside.

Samsung's Galaxy Star Advance has a 4.3-inch WVGA display. The device is powered by a 1.2 GHz processor, coupled with 512MB of RAM, 4GB of on-board memory and a microSD card slot. The phone does come with a mediocre 3-megapixel rear camera, but lacks a front-facing shooter.
The Galaxy Star Advance measures 9.8mm in terms of thickness and weighs in at 138g. The budget phone runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat with Samsung's TouchWiz UI on top.
