Xolo Q1000 Opus To Come With Broadcom Chip By November End
Today, Xolo announced its partnership with a smartphone chip maker Broadcom Corporation. According to the collaboration, the new Xolo Q1000 Opus smartphone will use the latest chipset BCM23550 (Java) from Broadcom. This new phone will hit the stores by the end of this month (November), the company said in a release.

The company claims that the new smartphone will use Broadcom's BCM4334 connectivity combo chip along with the BCM4752 multi-constellation GNSS location chip "to deliver a high performance and feature-rich experience at an attractive price".

Moreover, the company also says that the phone would offer better Wi-Fi streaming, and it will also simultaneously share and project HD video, photos and gaming applications on a larger screen via Miracast.
Going by the specs, the Xolo Q1000 Opus will be powered by a 1.2 GHz Quad-core ARM Cortex A7 processor. It will also feature VideoCore multimedia support, GPS/GLONASS, WLAN, MEMs and Cell ID for the best indoor/outdoor location.

The device is supposed to be a dual-SIM and would run on Android platform. In fact we are looking at a device with a 5-inch Dual HD LCD display support with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution.
When it comes imaging technology, this is a handset with an 8 megapixel rear camera along with a 1.2 megapixel front facing camera equipped with BSI sensors.
Connectivity options include 3G, 21 Mbps HSPA+ downstream connectivity, 5.8 Mbps of upstream connectivity. it also has support for NFC and 1080p HD video capture and playback.
Sunil Raina, Business Head at XOLO, said the phone will deliver high-end multimedia experience and better search location technology on a large five-inch screen, but at an attractive price point.

Our complete smartphone platform is offered as a complete turnkey solution that allows OEMs to expedite production of full-featured, high-performance Android smartphones while significantly lowering development costs," Rafael Sotomayor, Broadcom Vice President, Mobile Platform Solutions added.
The company has not disclosed full details of the handset at the moment. The RAM, battery, internal storage and the dimension of the device remains a mystery along with the price. However, since the company has already confirmed the launch of the handset within this month, GizBot will keep you updated regading the matter.
