Lava has recently released its latest Iris Pro 30 smartphone in the Indian market. On the other hand, the company's premium arm Xolo has also been releasing quite a number of devices simultaneously. Yet again, Xolo is planning to launch one more device called the Xolo Q1010, which would come as the successor to the company's older model Q1000. The device has already been listed on Flipkart under the coming soon tag.
Xolo has procured much attention from its Indian customers with its more than a dozen affordable quad core devices and not to mention the Nvidia powered Play Tegra Note tablet, which is one of the company's best devices. When it comes to the pricing of the device, the company has not formally introduced it to the market, thus the price remains undisclosed.
Meanwhile, the upcoming smartphone from the company is pretty much a decent one. It comes with a 5-inch LCD IPS display offering an HD resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and churns out a pixel density of 295 ppi.
It uses a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor with 500 MHz Mali 400MP2 GPU to power its system and is also backed by 1GB of RAM and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) out of the box.
Photographs and videos can be taken from an 8MP rear camera with LED Flash and BSI sensor while you can also use a 2MP front-facing camera for making a video call and taking selfies.
The internal storage is rated to 4GB but can be expanded up to 32GB via MicroSD card. The phablet uses several connectivity options including: 3G (HSDPA: 21 Mbps, HSUPA: 5.76 Mbps), WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and USB OTG. Apart from that, the Dual SIM (GSM + GSM) functionality comes in handy with the device.
Xolo Q1010 measures 8.3 mm thick and is powered by a 2250 mAh battery and will be available in Black color variant. But Xolo is yet to launch the device officially in the market.
When it comes to competition, the smartphone could contest with Micromax Canvas 2 Plus A110Q, Micromax Canvas 2.2 A114, Lenovo P780, Karbonn Titanium S9, Micromax Canvas Turbo A250, Huawei Ascend G700 and iBall Quadro Andi 5h among others.
