What About Sony Xperia C3?
The buzz on the street is that Sony is preparing a budget oriented handset dubbed as the C3 , which is supposed to come with MT6589 ( Quad Core MediaTek processor on board). The device will have a 5-inch 720p HD display and flaunt dual SIM support, as Chinese love dual capable handsets.
India is also not far behind in the race of dual SIM handset. Earlier only India based tech vendor used to offer dual SIM handset. Now leading global players including Samsung, LG, and Sony, has started to offer both single as well as dual SIM variants of the devices. The expected date of Sony C3 is pegged for either Q3 or Q4, 2013.
Back in December, it was said that Sony was considering a mass Android device with MediaTek processor. However, the device name nor its features were made available. It is also believed that the above mentioned Sony C3 would be outsourced to some Taiwanese player to make device really massy.
In general, Sony has just started offering mass oriented handsets in the Indian market. The competition is rather tough in the emerging markets, as both international as well as local player are fighting for some set of consumers. Sony India recently launched Xperia E dual, a low costs Android 4.0 ICS powered handset priced at Rs 10,990.
The device has a 3.5-inch display with resolution of 320X480 pixels, 1-GHz Qualcomm processor, 512MB of RAM , 4GB of internal memory ( expandable via microSD card), Wi-Fi, 3G, dual SIM , and 1,530mAH battery inside.
