Xperia ZL: 1080p Handset Helps Sony to Clinch Animated Mobile Phone Mosaic Guiness World Record
Recently Sony made an entry into the Guinness Book Of World Records, as it created a animated smartphone mosaic using 196 Xperia ZLs, which looks pretty darn cool.

The action, actually took place in the Mobile World Congress 2013, where Sony took 196 smartphones to make them into a wall, which measured 1.90 m (6 ft 2 in) by 1.03 m (3 ft 4 in) and had a surface area of 1.95 square meters. The handsets were placed in a 14 by 14 grid, to produce 1.9m x 1m image, breaking the previous record by more then a double.
There is however, a slight confusion - a blog from Sony says, the wall was made using Xperia Z smartphones, where as Guinness Book Of World Records says the record was made using Sony Xperia ZL. Unwired view reports that the smartphone used is actually Xperia ZL. A closer inspection into the photos, apparently confirms the fact that Xperia ZL, with it's narrower bezel, was indeed the handset used.
Xperia ZL packs a 5 inch full HD capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and with Mobile Bravia Engine 2, quad core 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 processor, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system, 13MP rear camera, 2.2MP front camera for video calling, 16GB internal storage, 2GB RAM, micro SD card slot supporting up to 32GB additional storage, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC and 4G LTE, and a 2,370 mAh battery. The smartphone is available in India for Rs. 35990.
