Xperia ZR: Another Waterproof, Dust Resistant Sony Smartphone Rumor Debuts
Early this year, Sony announced a waterproof and dust resistant smartphones dubbed as Xperia Z at the CES 2013. Now, it seems like the company is planning to add another similar device to its Xperia portfolio.
A report from Xperia Blog claims that Sony is looking to launch a new Xperia smartphone called the Xperia ZR, code-named Dogo. The report states that the design of the handset is more akin to the Xperia ZL than Xperia Z with its glass body.

What features to expect?
As far as the specs are concerned, Xperia ZR is claimed to boast a 4.6-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels, 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm S4 Pro chipset, 2GB RAM, 13MP Exmor RS camera sensor, 8GB internal storage, microSD memory card support and a 2,300mAh battery.
IP55/IP58 Certification
Xperia ZR is also suggested to come with a water resistant IP55/IP58 certification and it can be exposed to 1.5 meters of water for 30 minutes, thereby, offering a higher level of element resistance than the Xperia Z.
As of now, there is no detail on when the Xperia ZR could be released or how much it might be priced at. However, there is no official confirmation on the same from Sony and it remains as a rumor until then.
