YU Yureka to Get an Android Lollipop Udate Very Soon

    Micromax teased a catchy image for the new firmware on its social channels. YU Yureka a brand owned by Micromax is to get an OS update and the Yureaka phones are to taste the Android 5.0 Lollipop.

    The Yureka handset was revealed with Android 4.4 KitKat-based Cyanogen OS 11 in December last year. The devices will receive the Android 5.0 Lollipop update as a part of Cyanogen OS 12 software.

    The company has assured users that the Yureka will be the first handset to get Lollipop-based Cyanogen update.The company also assured it's users that the Yureka will be the fist of it's kind to get a Lollipop-based Cyanogen update.

    The teaser is a connect-the-dots number game. The image takes the shape of a Lollipop on connecting all the dots from 1 to 26. 26 being the final number the company might be pointing out as the release date to be March 26th.

    For the ones who have forgotten all about the YU Yureka, here's a quick flash back. Launched in December last year the YU Yureka is a smartphone brand owned by Micromax. It's impressive features include, that Rs. 8,999 price tag, a 5.5" HD IPS Screen, the SoC is a Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor with 64bit capability coupled with 2GB of RAM. The Yureka houses an internal storage of 16GB and sports a 13MP rear snapper and a 5MP front camera..
