ZTE Chorus, music oriented phone
Music is on everyone’s mind and ever since mobile phones have become popular consumer devices the demand to get more music from them has been intense. Music soothes the senses, calms the frustrated mind, makes work a little less stressful and takes away the boredom.
Thanks to the demand for having those notes ringing in the ears, even basic handsets offer earphones and music listening capabilities. Much like basic games, music and earphones are there on any handset you buy. You don’t need to hunt for personal audio devices such as USB music sticks, iPods or stuff like that if a reasonable audio experience is all that you’re looking for.
But with the arrival of smartphones the possibilities have grown for communication, document handling, Internet browsing, gaming and of course, music and video. Unlike those basic phones offering music capabilities, smartphones have the capability to give the user access to radio stations as well as great music services. Technology has also enabled smartphones to offer amazing audio quality too. Chinese manufacturer ZTE’s Chorus is one such music phone.
As the name suggests, ZTE Chorus is a music-oriented phone. In fact it offers everything a music lover would want along with the practicality of a smartphone. This cost-effective phone offers audio playback with amazing clarity, high frequency sound and a rich and deep bass. This quality is ensured thanks to the incorporation of the HD SRS WOW technology. What’s more, one can customize sound preferences thanks to the SRS sound settings which are arranged according to the various music styles such as pop, rock, hip hop, blues and acoustic.
From the music, let’s go to the mobile specifications. ZTE Chorus has an attractive bar design weighing only 105 grams with compact dimensions of 4.35 x 2.23 x 0.58 inches. It features a 600 MHz processor, and has the speed of 3G web browsing. Its 3.2 inches screen is a resistive touchscreen with a WQVGA TFT display.
Apart from the amazing video and music players and the great 2.0-megapixel camera-cum-camcorder. ZTE Chorus is endowed with speech recognition. This is not only an advanced music phone, but a good messaging phone too with the great virtual keypad making typing a pleasure with easy and fast text entry. Its 1000mAh Li-ion battery offers a maximum of 220 hours of standby time and 4.2 hours of talk time.
ZTE Chorus’ price tag is yet to be confirmed for the Indian market.
