The Olympus Tough TG-5 is launched in India. The device features a 12MP BSI CMOS sensor(Crop frame).  It is a rugged camera that is waterproof to 15m, shockproof from 2.1m, crushproof to 100kgf and dust proof. It has dual pane glass, that prevents the lens from fogging up. It has been thoughtfully designed so users can operate the camera while wearing heavy gloves. The camera comes with dimension as 4.4 x 1.3 x 2.6 in(W x H x D), and weighs Approx. 250 g (with a battery and memory card).  It features a 3-inch LCD (with 460k dots), up to 20 fps burst shooting, Wi-Fi and 4K video capture.

    The TG-5 has a built-in GPS, manometer, thermometer and compass. A tracking mode associates this data with photos and videos, which can be displayed on a map in Olympus' OI Track app. It features Full HD 120 fps high-speed video for slow-motion playback. There is 4K Time Lapse Video, letting users to create short videos of long periods of time.

     With Dual Quad Core TruePic VIII image processor, the ISO can be expanded up to 12800. That captures images in any condition, with noise effectively reduced. Due to its specialized image sensor and advanced processor, users will get photos with little noise and increased dynamic range. Even in low light, shots will be bright and clear. The entry level Olympus Tough TG-5 is priced at Rs. 35,894 in Indian market.
