Sony Alpha A7R III Unique Features

The Alpha A7R III features a new front-end LSI that almost doubles the readout speed of the sensor. It also takes advantage of the latest BIONZ X image processing engine, and combined, these enhancements deliver a boost of up to 1.8x in processing speeds. The device now features a new HLG (Hybrid Log-Gamma) profile that supports an Instant HDR workflow, allowing HDR (HLG) compatible TVs to play back 4K HDR footage. There are also ports for both a microphone and audio monitoring.

Sony Alpha A7R III Details

The Sony a7R Mark III is launched in India. The device is a full-frame mirrorless camera that uses a 42.4MP stabilized BSI CMOS sensor. It comes with dimension as 5 x 3.9 x 3 inches(W x H x D), and weighs 657 g(With battery and memory card). It sports tiltable 3-inch (1,440k dots) Xtra Fine LCD Display, that makes it easy to photograph over crowds, or objects close to the ground. The camera provides high speed continuous shooting at 10 fps. It features new front-end LSI and updated BIONZ X processing engine for maximum processing speed.

     The a7R Mark III comes with Advanced Hybrid AF system with 399 focal-plane phase-detection AF points that covers 68% of the image Plane and 425 contrast AF points covering 47% of the image area. As a result, its AF system is able to focus in lower light and generates desired images. It has 14-bit RAW format output, that contains rich tonal information from highlights to shadows and is available even when shooting in silent or continuous mode. It features viewfinder of type Electronic viewfinder, with 100% coverage area. The captured pictures can be shot and shared remotely by using in built wifi, NFC and Bluetooth. With 5-axis in-body SteadyShot image stabilization system, camera shake is effectively compensated. Thus, producing great and accurate shots.

     With high-speed image processing BIONZ X-Processor, the ISO can be expanded up to 102400. That allows a user to capture spectacular shots with noise completely reduced.
