Asus Zenfone AR was launched on 13th July, 2017 in India. ZenFone AR is the world’s 1st 5.7-inch smartphone which is Tango-enabled and Daydream-ready. Tango is an exciting augmented reality (AR) technology that changes the way you interact with the world and expands your vision. And with Daydream, you can experience immersive virtual reality (VR) with your phone. The device features SonicMaster 3.0, featuring five magnet loud-speaker, driven by a powerful NXP Smart AMP, for high fidelity high-volume output. It is Hi-Res certified and also supports DTS Headphone: X for virtual 7.1ch surround sound over headphones. The device features the innovative TriCam system consisting of three rear cameras — a motion tracking camera to track its motion, a depth sensing IR sensor to see the depth between objects, floor and walls, and a Sony 23MP camera that lets you see virtual objects in front of you in great detail. The device comes with a 5.7 inches capacitive touchscreen display with a screen resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and display type of 2k WQHD super AMOLED (Corning Gorilla Glass 4). The display comes with 79% screen to body ratio, giving best viewing angle for gaming and videos.

The smartphone makes use of a 64-bit quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821, featuring 14nm technology that is coupled with Adreno 530 GPU optimised for Tango, 8GB RAM and 128GB Storage default memory capacity. This storage can be expanded up to another 2TB with the help of a microSD card.
For imaging, the smartphone sports a 23MP camera + Motion tracking camera + Depth sensing camera with Tricam, Infrared Projector, 4k Video Recording.
