The Honor 9X Pro is the beefed-up version of the Honor 9X, which was recently launched in India with the Kirin 710F SoC. The device has a similar design with a gradient back panel along with triple camera setup and the back panel is made using glass, which gives this device a premium look. At the front, the Honor 9X Pro has a bezel-less 6.59-inch IPS LCD screen with FHD+ resolution, protected by 2.5D curved tempered glass. The display does not have a notch or a punch-hole cutout, giving the device a premium flagship device like finish.

The Honor 9X Pro is powered by the HiSilicon Kirin 810 SoC based on 7nm fabrication. This is an octa-core processor and offers flagship-level CPU and GPU performance while being efficient. Similarly, the device comes with 6GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot for additional storage expansion. In terms of raw performance, the device can handle games like PUBG and Fortnite without any issue. However, you might not be able to use all your favorite apps and games as the Honor 9X Pro does not have GPS or Google Play Services.

The Honor 9X Pro has a triple camera setup at the back with a 48MP primary sensor, 8MP ultra-wide angle lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. Additionally, the device also has a 16MP pop-up selfie camera at the front. The main camera shoots great photos in normal lighting conditions and the ultra-wide angle lens will also take good wide-angle photos. The main camera can also record 4K videos. The 16MP selfie camera supports portrait mode, and it can also be used for face unlock. Even the selfie camera offers good performance in almost every lighting condition. The Honor 9X Pro retails for Rs. 17,999 and is currently available for Rs. 14,999 as an early promotional offer. For that price, the Honor 9X Pro offers an excellent value-for-money proposition especially considering the fact that the device offers 256GB of internal storage. Similarly, the Kirin 810 SoC is also one of the most powerful and power-efficient chipsets at this pricing. By just considering the hardware, the Honor 9X Pro seems like a great device and can easily last for a few years with regular usage.
Honor 9X Pro: Important Features/Highlights
The Honor 9X Pro has a 4,000 mAh battery and the device does support fast charging via the USB port. In terms of connectivity, it does support 4G LTE and VoLTE on both slots with Bluetooth 5.0 and dual-band Wi-Fi. One of the important things to note about the Honor 9X Pro is that the device does not support apps made or Google or any app that might require Google Play Services, this means, you might not be able to use all the apps that you were used to.

The Honor 9X Pro is a great device when it comes to hardware capabilities. However, on the software front, the device does lack Google Play Store and it comes with Huawei App store, which does have some of the most used Android apps. If you want a good looking mid-range smartphone, then go for the Honor 9X Pro.
