The Intex Indie 5 is launched in India. The unit sports a 5-inch HD (720 x 1280 pixels) IPS display with Dragontrail Glass, 2.5D curved glass, pixel density of 294 ppi, and 16.7 million colours. Under the hood, it is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6737 SoC, coupled with Mali-T720 MP2 GPU, 2GB of RAM and 16GB inbuilt storage. The storage is expandable via microSD card (up to 128GB). In terms of optics, the handset bears a single 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera sensor with LED flash, and an 8-megapixel selfie camera LED selfie flash. Camera features include HDR, beautification mode, and panorama.
Connectivity options on board the Indie 5 include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi with WLAN, Bluetooth v4.0, USB with OTG, GPS/ A-GPS, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It packs non-removable Li-Ion 4000 mah battery, and runs Android 7.0(Nougat) out of the box. Sensors on the phone include ambient light sensor, gravity sensor, and proximity sensor. The smartphone is available in Indian market in Black and Champagne colors. The Intex Indie 5 is priced at Rs. 4,999 for 2/16GB variant.
