Micromax is back with another new affordable smartphone in the Indian market. Dubbed Micromax In 2B, the entry-level device brings a gradient textured back panel that reflects a sunrays pattern similar to some of the Realme C series smartphones. The upper left of the back panel has the vertical camera module housing dual sensors and an LED flash. The In logo is inscribed at the bottom. The IPS LCD display upfront measures 6.5-inches and has a waterdrop notch for the selfie camera. The display specifications include 720 x 1600 pixels HD+ resolution, 269 PPI pixel density and a screen-to-body ratio of 82.3 percent. The Micromax In 2B features an all-plastic built which you can expect from any other budget smartphone in the market.

The Micromax In 2B is driven by the Unisoc T610 processor. This is an octa-core entry-level chipset that is suitable for all the basic tasks given at hand. You can expect it to perform well with general web surfing, calling, texting, and media playback. The device comes with up to 6GB RAM and 64GB storage. The higher RAM capacity will allow for smoother multitasking. The device also has a dedicated microSD card that will suffice the additional storage requirements.

The Micromax In 2B is announced in two different configurations both of which retail below Rs. 10,000 price mark in the country. The Micromax In 2B with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage is priced at Rs. 7,999. By just paying Rs. 1,000 extra, you get the 6GB RAM model (at Rs. 8,999). The device comes in three different color variants including black, blue, and green. The pricing suits the Indian audience that is budget-oriented.

The Micromax In 2B is equipped with a dual-rear camera module with 13MP with an f/1.8 aperture and a 2MP depth sensor. The camera setup is optimum for daylight shots. The additional sensor would add bokeh effects to the captured shots. The camera setup has standard HDR, Portrait, and Panorama shooting modes. The waterdrop notch stores a 5MP camera with an f/2.2 aperture for selfies and video calls.

The Micromax IN 2B features a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner for security. The device has the Android 11 OS and a stock user interface. The handset comes with standard network connectivity such as 4G, dual VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. The handset features a 5,000 mAh battery which stores enough fuel for an entire day on a single charge.

Micromax In 2B: Verdict

The Micromax In 2B has been launched almost a year later post the company revived its smartphone business. The brand has been focusing on the budget segment as usual and is primarily targeting the sub  Rs. 10,000 price category. The latest offering by the brand is a subtle option to consider looking at the price. But if you compare it with other models, there isn’t any specific out-of-the-box feature that gives it an edge.
