Motorola Edge Plus: Design
After a long break, Motorola is back with the Motorola Edge Plus -- the flagship smartphone from the company with the latest and great hardware available in the market. Even in terms of design, the Motorola Edge Plus looks premium with a 3D curved design on the front and back of the smartphone.
At the front, the device has a 6.7-inch dual-curved display with a tiny punch-hole cutout. The screen offers FHD+ resolution with HDR+ support and a peak refresh rate of 90Hz. In fact, the screen looks a lot like the one on the OnePlus 8 Pro.
Motorola Edge Plus: Hardware Performance
The Motorola Edge Plus is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC with 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. The device does not support microSD card slot but it does feature a 3.5mm headphone jack. In terms of raw performance, the Motorola Edge Plus is one of the fastest smartphones in the country, thanks to high-end hardware and stock Android OS.
The device can play games like PUBG and Fornite, and COD: Mobile without any issue. In fact, all these games can be played with graphics set to max and the device will not face any issue and the same holds up for the regular usage as well.
Motorola Edge Plus: Camera Performance
This is the first Motorola smartphone to use a 108MP camera sensor along with a 16MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and an 8MP telephoto lens. The device does have a 25MP selfie camera with an F/2.0 aperture.
The Motorola Edge Plus is one of the best camera smartphones in the world, thanks to the highest resolution smartphone camera that takes native 27MP images and it also supports OIS. In low-light and regular lighting conditions, the Motorola Edge Plus takes excellent photos on the main sensor. However, the same cannot be said about the ultra-wide angle and the telephoto lens.
Motorola Edge Plus: Price To Specs Ratio
The Motorola Edge Plus comes in a single variant and retails for Rs. 74,999. When compared to devices like the OnePlus 8 or the Xiaomi Mi 10 5G, the Motorola Edge Plus might seem a bit expensive. However, when compared to the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra, Motorola Edge Plus seems like a good bargain, given the hardware features and stock Android OS.
The Xiaomi Mi 10 5G might also have a 108MP camera. However, the software experience on the Motorola Edge Plus is much better, thanks to the stock Android implementation. It is not the best value-for-money smartphone, but it is a well-priced flagship for sure.
Motorola Edge Plus: Important Features/Highlights
The Motorola Edge Plus is a powerful smartphone with a powerful battery and the 5,000 mAh battery does help the device to deliver all-day battery life. The phone does support fast wired charging, wireless charging, and it also supports reverse wireless charging.
The phone also has a dual stereo speaker setup with support for Waves audio technology. Not just that, the presence of a 3.5mm headphone jack also makes it a unique flagship smartphone.
