The Nokia 2.1 is launched in India. The handset flashes a 5.5 inch HD resolution capacitive touchscreen display, with a screen resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. It has display type of Corning Gorilla Glass, giving protection against damages. The mobile has a polycarbonate back with metallic accents to make it stand out from the crowd. There is also a dual front-facing stereo speaker, producing powerful sound. The smartphone makes use of a quad-core Qualcomm MSM8917 Snapdragon 425, that is coupled with Adreno 308 GPU, 1GB RAM, and 8GB default memory capacity. This storage can be expanded up to another 128GB with the help of a microSD card.
The Nokia 2.1 sports an 8MP rear camera and 5MP front camera. The connectivity aspects on board the unit include wifi 802.11 b/g/n, hotspot, v4.1, A2DP, LE, micro USB 2.0, with A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS and dual sim. It comes with 4000 mAh battery with HMD Global promising 2-day battery life. It runs Android 8.1(Oreo)(Go Edition) which might update with Android P, out of the box. Sensors on the unit are an ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, and accelerometer.
The smartphone is available in Indian market in Blue, Silver, and Grey colors. The Nokia 2.1 is priced at Rs. 6,999.
