The Nokia 5.1 is launched in India. Talking about specs, Nokia 5.1 continues with the metal build design and is made from a single block of 6000 series aluminum, says the company. The phone has a “satin finish and feels,” according to HMD Global. However, the phone has a slightly bigger display with a thinner body and reduced bezels on the side. It sports a 5.5-inch Full HD+ display (1080p) with 18:9 aspect ratio. On the design front, it also has more rounded edges. The unit is powered by MediaTek Helio P18 octa-core processor clocked at 2Ghz, with the company claiming a 40 percent faster performance compared to the previous generation. The phone comes only in one variant of 3GB+32GB in India. Regarding the camera, there is a rear camera of 16MP with PDAF. The front camera is 8MP.
The connectivity aspects on board the Nokia 5.1 include wifi 802.11 a/b/g/n, hotspot, v4.1, micro USB v2.0, USB OTG, with A-GPS, GLONASS and dual sim (nano + nano). The phone has a 3000 mAh battery, letting to run the show longer. It runs Android 8.0(Oreo) which might update with Android P, out of the box. The fingerprint sensor has been relocated to the back of the phone as well. It has NFC as well to support Google Pay.
