Nokia has introduced a new budget phone for the Indian audience in the form of the C30. The device dons a matte-textured back panel and has a circular camera module at the centre-top. This setup is different from most of the budget and mid-range smartphones that offer a gradient skin and a vertical/square-shaped camera module. The Nokia C30 affordable phone comes with a massive 6.82-inch display that supports 1080 x 2400 pixels FHD+ resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. This allows for a better viewing experience with OTT platforms.

Unlike the majority of the budget Android phones where you get to see a MediaTek Helio, Qualcomm Snapdragon, or the new Unisoc series SOCs, the Nokia C30 is launched with the Spreadtrum SC9863A SoC. It is an entry-level octa-core processor which has a 1.6GHz clock speed. The device will have no issues with basic usage such as calling/texting, using social media and other apps, media playback, and general web browsing. The device has been announced with up to 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage capacity. It also supports an external microSD card which comes in handy for storage expansion.

The Nokia C30 has been launched in India in two different configurations. The low-end model which has 3GB RAM and 32GB storage option has been announced at Rs. 10,999. The high-end variant which packs 4GB RAM and 64GB storage option can be purchased at Rs. 11,999. Both models come in white and green color options and can be purchased via online and offline markets in the country. The pricing is decent for a budget-conscious consumer. However, it is slightly on the higher end of the spectrum, if you compare it with Chinese counterparts in the market.

The imaging setup of the Nokia C30 features dual cameras at the back housed inside a circular module. The device features a 13MP main camera which is accompanied by a 2MP additional depth sensor. The rear cameras are capable of clicking detailed images with well-lit backgrounds. There are a bunch of shooting modes to improve the imaging experience. The Nokia C30 captures selfies using a 5MP sensor packed inside the waterdrop notch.

The Nokia C30 important set of features are a physical fingerprint scanner at the back, Android 11 (Go Edition), and a dedicated microSD card slot. The Nokia C30 runs on a 6,000 mAh battery which can give a backup of over a day with just one charge. The device has standard 10W charging speeds.

The Nokia C30 is a good phone for the budget audience who require a phone primarily for media playback and other general use. It is one of the few Android Go Edition smartphones in the market that offers such a massive display with 1080p FHD+ resolution and also a beefy battery.
