OnePlus Nord: Design
The OnePlus Nord is the latest mid-range smartphone and is also the first smartphone from the brand with a non 800 series Qualcomm chipset. Just like the OnePlus 8 series, the OnePlus Nord has an all-glass design. Instead of a metal mid-frame, the OnePlus Nord has a plastic frame and it matches the color of the black glass. At the front, the OnePlus Nord has a 6.44-inch AMOLED display with an in-display fingerprint sensor. The is a 1080p resolution screen with a refresh rate of 90Hz. Unlike the OnePlus 8, this is a flat display and is also HDR 10 compatible.
OnePlus Nord: Hardware Performance
The OnePlus Nord is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G 5G SoC and is one of the most affordable smartphones in the country with this process. It comes with 6/8/12GB of RAM and 64/128/256GB of internal storage with no micro SD card slot. As per the performance, the smartphone can play games like PUBG, Fornite, and COD: Mobile without any issue, and the 90Hz refresh rate display will further improve the overall gaming experience as well. In terms of day-to-day usage, the Nord will also offer a smooth user experience.
OnePlus Nord: Camera Performance
The OnePlus Nord has a quad-camera setup at the back with a 48MP Sony IMX 586 sensor with OIS. Do note that, the sensor is used on the OnePlus 8 as well. Besides, the smartphone offers an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 5MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro lens. The main camera can shoot native 4K videos at 60fps and supports slow-motion video recording as well. The OnePlus Nord is the first OnePlus smartphone to ship with a dual selfie camera. There is a high-resolution 32MP selfie camera along with an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens. Both cameras can record 1080p videos at 30fps.
OnePlus Nord: Price To Specs Ratio
The base variant of the OnePlus Nord retails for Rs. 24,999 and it offers excellent value for money, especially for those, who want a high-end smartphone from a premium brand. Besides the base variant, the phone is available with 8GB/128GB and 12GB/256GB RAM and storage configurations as well. We think that the base variant might not be sufficient for the modern users, as it just offers 64GB internal storage. Going with the mid-line variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage seems like a great option, considering the smartphone does not support memory expansion.
OnePlus Nord: Important Features/Highlights
The OnePlus Nord's most important feature is the software experience. It runs on Android 10 OS with custom Oxygen OS 10.5 experience. OnePlus has officially confirmed that the OnePlus Nord will receive software updates for two years and will get updated to Android 11 OS as well. The smartphone packs a 4,115 mAh battery with support for Warp Charge 30T, where the smartphone can be fully charged with an hour. The device also has a physical slider that will help to switch between the various profiles with ease.
OnePlus Nord: Verdict
The OnePlus Nord is for those who are looking for a smartphone with stock Android user-experience and best-in-class hardware. Though it is not the most powerful smartphone available in the country at the asking price, it is one of the most balanced smartphones for sure.

Rating a smartphone is a tedious process and a lot of parameters have to be considered before judging the overall performance of the device such as display, camera, processor, RAM, storage, battery, and the pricing.
So, here are how these specs will affect the real-life usage of a device and why how we meticulously consider each of these points to rate a smartphone.
Cameras have evolved a lot over the last few years and multi-camera setup is a new norm. We consider various parameters like MP count, aperture size, pixel size, image stabilization to rate a camera system of a smartphone out of 5. Any device that scores more than 3.5 can take good photos and videos and if a phone scores over 4, then it will be one of the best camera smartphones in the market.
Though battery seems like an underrated feature and we look at the battery capacity, fast charging supporting technology, and even the wireless charging capability is also taken into consideration to rate smartphone's battery capability.
The display is the face of a smartphone. And there are a lot of parameters like the panel technology (IPS LCD, OLED, TFT) and other parameters also taken into consideration like the resolution, pixel density, and refresh rate.
A smartphone could have great specs, but if it is not priced well then you might not get the best value-for-money. So, we compare a smartphone with the contemporaries to rate the value-for-money of a device out of 5.
This aspect is decided on various sub specifics, such as availability of microSD card slot, the amount of RAM the device offers, processor capability, and the network support. This parameter has more weightage when compared to other departments.
