Oppo has already unveiled its latest R series smartphone called R15 Dream Mirror Edition (Oppo R15 Pro) in China. The handset has been launched in India. The company’s latest smartphone flaunts an iPhone X-like notch above the screen and taller-than-usual aspect ratio of 19:9. It sport an impressive screen-to-body ratio of 90 percent. While the previous R series devices offered metal designs, the new R series handset comes with glass back panels. The device features a 6.28-inch full HD + OLED display, with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2280 pixels. It runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset with an octa core Kryo processor and Adreno 512 GPU. It comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB default storage, which can be expanded up to 256GB. For imaging, the handset houses a dual camera of 16 MP (f/1.7, 1/2.6", 1.22 µm, PDAF) + 20 MP (f/1.7, 1/2.8", 1 µm) at rear featuring PDAF, LED flash. The front snapper boards 20MP with f/2.0 and resolution of 1080p. Features are geo tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR, panorama. The phone is fuelled by a slightly smaller 3,430mAh battery with VOOC charging.
The Oppo R15 Pro runs Android 8.1, based on Color OS 5.0.It measures 156.50 x 75.2 x 8.0 (height x width x thickness) and weigh 180.00 grams. The device is a dual SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM. The connectivity aspects on board the device include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, WiFi Direct, hotspot, v5.0, USB Type-C, with A-GPS, GLONASS. It has a new "AI" assistant that learns your usage patterns, and fast 0.8s Face Unlock. Other sensors on the phone include Proximity sensor, Accelerometer and Ambient light sensor.
The smartphone is available in Cosmic Purple and Ruby Red color variants. The Oppo R15 Pro price in India starts from Rs. 25,990 for 6GB and 128GB variant.
