The Samsung Galaxy A51 is the latest mid-tier A-series smartphone from the South Korean tech giant, which shares the design concept with the Galaxy S20 series of smartphones with a similar camera cut-out and a similar display with a punch-hole Infinity-O design.
The Samsung Galaxy A51 has a 6.5-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and the screen is protected by a 2.5D curved tempered glass. The entire front of the Samsung Galaxy A51 is covered with the screen with a tiny bezel at the bottom portion of the smartphone. The phone comes in multiple color variants, and the back panel of the Samsung Galaxy A51 is made using plastic or polycarbonate.

The Samsung Galaxy A51 is powered by the Exynos 9611 octa-core CPU, the same chipset that powers the Galaxy M31. It is an efficient processor that can handle normal day-to-day issues with ease. Similarly, the phone does offer 6GB RAM and 128GB storage with a microSD card slot for additional storage expansion.
When it comes to gaming, the Samsung Galaxy A51 can handle PUBG with medium graphics settings. Under high-graphics settings, one can notice certain frame drops and the overall performance of the phone does get a bit slow. However, it can run games like Temple Run, Candy Crush, and Subway Surfers without any issue.

The Samsung Galaxy A51 has a quad-camera setup at the back with a 48MP primary sensor, 8MP ultra-wide angle lens, 5MP macro lens, and a 5MP depth sensor. The device does feature a 32MP high-resolution selfie camera.
The main camera on the Samsung Galaxy A51 can record 4K videos at 30fps, similarly, the selfie camera can record 1080p videos. Photos taken on the 48MP sensor shows a good dynamic range. However, the performance of the ultra-wide angle camera is sub-par compared to the competition.

The Samsung Galaxy A51 retails for Rs. 23,999, which makes it a bit expensive compared to the Galaxy M31, which almost has similar specifications. In fact, the Galaxy M31 is a bit better in some of the departments like the battery.
It is a bit expensive smartphone, especially considering the features that it offers. In fact, one can get a better smartphone at this price tag. However, if you are going for looks, then, the Galaxy A51 is one of the best-looking smartphones for sure.

The Samsung Galaxy A51 does support Widevine L1 and the phone can stream at HD resolution on OTT apps like Netflix and Prime Video. It also offers a 4,000 mAh battery with a USB Type-C port with support for fast charging and it is a slim smartphone.
Out of the box, the Samsung Galaxy A51 comes with the latest Android 10 OS with custom One UI 2.0 skin on top. Lastly, it also has an AMOLED screen, which will enhance the multi-media consumption experience compared to other smartphones with an IPS LCD screen.

If you are looking for a phone with a good display and a camera setup, the Samsung Galaxy A51 is the right device. However, if you need a high-performance smartphone, then the Samsung Galaxy A51 might not be the device that you should consider.
