The Samsung Galaxy A8 Star is launched in India(Which is known as the Samsung Galaxy A9 Star in China). It has has a 6.28-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity display. Under the hood, it is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 660 14nm technology which is coupled with Adreno 512 GPU, 6 GB RAM and 64 GB default memory capacity. This storage can be expanded up to another 400 GB with the help of a microSD card. In terms of optics, the mobile has a 16(f/1.7)-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a secondary 24-megapixel rear camera. Upfront it uses a 24MP(f/2.0) camera. 

Connectivity aspects on board the Galaxy A9 Star include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, WiFi Direct, 4G VoLTE, hotspot, v5.0, with A-GPS, GLONASS, and dual Sim. The smartphone packs a non-removable Li-Ion 3700mAh battery, that comes with fast charging technology. It has a fingerprint sensor on the back.
