The Samsung Galaxy J7 Duo was launched in India on April 12, 2018. It has a 5.5 inch Full HD Super AMOLED display with the screen resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. The display has an aspect ratio of 16:9. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Exynos 7 series processor that is coupled with Mali-T830 MP1 GPU and 4GB of RAM. The smartphone has 32GB of inbuilt storage which is further expandable up to 256GB via microSD card. The handset boasts of 13MP + 5MP dual rear camera setup. The phone has an 8MP front-facing camera. Both the rear and front cameras have the aperture size of f/1.9 with LED flash, giving better low light photos. The rear cameras have Live Focus, which blurs the background of an image.

For connectivity, the Galaxy J7 Duo offers Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot, v5.0, microUSB v2.0, USB OTG, with A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS and dual SIM. The handset packs a 3,000mah battery and runs Android 8.0(Oreo). It also has an App Pair feature that lets users work with two apps simultaneously. There is a fingerprint sensor mounted at front, and there are other sensors like  accelerometer and proximity.
