The Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus is available in India.  The phone comes with dual aperture lens, able to switch between various lighting conditions. The camera features F1.5 aperture mode, allowing maximum light to fall in to produce very sharp images even in low light conditions. The super slow -mo lets with setting the video to music or turn it into a looping GIF. The Augmented Reality(AR) Emoji stickers enables to express pictures taken with desired emotions. The smartphone features live translation, that can instantly read what human’s eyes can’t. The intelligent scan has been upgraded with new technology, combining face recognition and iris scan to make unlocking simple even in low light. There is an option where you can share your screen to other Samsung screens with no hassle. The smartphone is equipped with Dolby Atmos sound on stereo speakers tuned by AKG. The IP68 allows the submersion up to 1.5 metres for 30 minutes comfortably making it excellent waterproof. The Samsung Galaxy is available in Lilac Purple, Midnight Black, Titanium Grey and Coral Blue for 64GB variant, whereas for 256GB variant the device is available in Midnight Black.   


It features a 6.2 inches QHD + Super Amoled Infinity display with capacitive touchscreen, offering resolution of 1440 x 2960 pixels at 529 ppi.


The smartphone makes use of an octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845( USA and China ), and Exynos 9810 octa( EMEA ), that is coupled with Adreno 630 GPU( USA and China ) and Mali-G72 MP18( EMEA ), 6GB RAM and 64/256GB Storage default memory capacity. This storage can be expanded up to another 400GB with the help of a microSD Card.


For imaging, the mobile sports a dual pixel autofocus camera of 12MP OIS(F1.5/F2.4) camera and 12MP OIS(F2.4), with laser combination, OIS, panorama, hyperlapse, auto/pro, selective focus and digital zoom up to 8 times. Up front, the smartphone uses a 8MP selfie camera with f/1.7 aperture.


The connectivity aspects include wi-fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, wi-fi direct, hotspot, v5.0, USB Type-C, 3.1, with A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS. The single sim model( One nano sim and one microSD slot up to 400GB ) and dual sim model( hybrid sim slot )- One nano sim and one nano sim or microSD slot up to 400GB, may differ by country. The device also supports NFC, GPS, Galileo, Glonass.


The smartphone packs a 3500 mah battery. And it comes with wireless and Fast Charging


The device runs Android 8.0( Oreo ) out of the box.


The sensors unveiled are iris scanner, pressure sensor, accelerometer, barometer, gyro sensor, hall sensor, HR sensor, RGB light sensor, geomagnetic sensor, fingerprint and facial recognition.


The smartphone features an app called Samsung pay, allowing credit and debit cards to support payment through MST or NFC. This app also includes membership cards, gift cards, transit cards and reward point service. There is a virtual assistant called Bixby, to give solution to any query.
