Tecno’s latest Camon iClick is the company’s first mobile with AI technology, though they’re using it just for the front camera. The AI is to recognise what the front camera is looking at (scene, face), used to enable bokeh mode (despite the single lens), adjusting flash output and for intelligent beautification. It’s got the new 18:9 aspect ratio screen (a large 6-inch IPS LCD), slim side bezels, no branding up front, a unibody style design, rear fingerprint and curved back. It’s comfortable to hold and feels well built.
The Tecno Camon i Click is launched in India. The phone sports a 6-inch HD+ (720x1440 pixels) display with 500 nits brightness and 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone sports 2.5D curved glass edges for better grip. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P23 MTK6763 SoC coupled with ARM Mali G71 MP2, 4GB of RAM and internal storage of 64GB. Regarding optics, the mobile houses 16-megapixel rear camera with 4X flash support an f/1.8 aperture. The front camera houses a 20-megapixel sensor with ~CHECK~/2.0 aperture, dual-LED flash and screen flash. Camera features include AI Beauty, AI auto scene detection, AI bokeh, super pixel, panorama mode, video chat with adjustable flashlight, and more.
Connectivity aspects on board the Camon i Click include wifi 802.11, b/g/n, mobile hotspot , v4.2, microUSB v2.0, with A-GPS, GLONASS and dual sim. It packs a 3750 mAh battery that claims to work the whole day with 420 hours of standby time, 30 hours of calling, 23 hours of battery life, 11 hours of web browsing, 13 hours of video playback and 9 hours of gaming. The phone runs Android 8.1(Oreo), out of the box. Onboard sensors include Fingerprint Sensor, Ambient Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, and G-Sensor. It comes with Face ID support as well.
The mobile is available in market in Midnight Black and Champagne Gold colors. The Tecno Camon i Click is priced at Rs. 13,999 for 4GB and 64GB variant.
