The Vivo NEX / NEX S is launched in India. The handset comes with a 6.59-inch FHD+ 19.3:9 Super AMOLED display that offers a 91.2% screen-to-body ratio. Regarding processor, the unit is powered by an octa core Qualcomm SDM845 Snapdragon 845 that is coupled with Adreno 630 GPU, 8 GB RAM and 128GB default memory capacity. In terms of optics, the primary camera houses 12-megapixels with an f/1.8 aperture, 4-axis OIS, and dual-core tech for 24 million picture elements. The secondary camera features a 5-megapixel sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. The rear camera setup is accompanied by an LED fill light with dual colour temperature. Vivo is touting features like Portrait Bokeh, AR Stickers, Slow Motion, and Backlight HDR for the rear camera.
Connectivity aspects on board the NEX include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot, v5.0, A2DP, LE, USB 2.0 Type-C 1.0 reversible connector, USB OTG, GPS, GLONASS, BDS and dual sim. It is fuelled by a non-removable Li-Ion 4000 mah battery, and runs Funtouch OS 4.0, based on Android 8.1(Oreo) out of the box. There is in-display fingerprint scanner technology. This is apparently the 3rd generation of the tech and promises to be much faster and considerably more secure. Other sensors include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, digital compass, proximity sensor, and a virtual gyroscope. The phone also features a CS43199+SSM6322 audio chip. This ensures you get the best possible audio experience which has specifically been enhanced for games.
The mobile is available in Black and Red colors in Indian market. The Vivo NEX is priced at Rs. 44,990.
