Vivo Z1X: Design

Vivo has officially unveiled its latest smartphone, the Z1X in India. The smartphone comes with a 6.38-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution, protected by 2.5D curved tempered glass. At the front, the device has an almost bezel-less design with a bit of a chin at the bottom. The device also has an optical in-display fingerprint sensor. The back panel and the frame of the phone is made using polycarbonate. The device looks premium, as it has a gradient back. However, just like most of the smartphones, the back panel will easily get scratched with objects like keys and coins.

Vivo Z1X: Hardware Performance

The Vivo Z1X is powered by the Snapdragon 712 AIE SoC, which is the latest mid-tier chipset from Qualcomm based on 10nm fabrication. The device offers 6GB RAM and 64GB storage even on the base variant, which should be good enough for most of the tasks. In terms of gaming, the  Vivo Z1X can handle normal titles like Temple Run and Subway Surfers without any issue. Similarly, the device can also play games like PUBG and Fortnite as well.

Vivo Z1X: Camera Performance

The Vivo Z1X has a triple camera setup at the back and is also one of the most affordable phone from the brand with a 48MP primary camera. The device has a 48MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. Besides, the device also has a 32MP selfie camera, which is located inside the notch. The phone uses the 48MP Samsung GM-1 sensor, which can take 12MP photos under normal conditions using pixel binning technology. Similarly, the smartphone can also shoot 4K videos at 30fps and 1080p videos at 60fps. Like most of the recently launched Vivo smartphones, the Vivo Z1X supports a boast of software-centric features as well.

Vivo Z1X: Price To Specs Ratio

The Vivo Z1X is one of the rightly priced smartphones from the company, especially the base variant, which costs Rs. 16,990 in India. For the asking price, the phone offers 6GB RAM and 64GB storage, which should be good enough for most of the users. The smartphone offers features like AMOLED display and an in-display fingerprint sensor, which makes it a great device to watch multi-media content on the go.

Vivo Z1X: Important Features/Highlights

The most important feature of the Vivo Z1X is the display. The smartphone has an FHD+ resolution screen with an in-display fingerprint sensor. Besides, the phone also has a 4500 mAh battery with support for fast charging. The smartphone runs on Android 9 Pie OS with FunTouchOS skin on top. The phone offers features like app tray and support for themes and a lot more.

How do we rate a Device?

Rating a smartphone is a tedious process and a lot of parameters have to be considered before judging the overall performance of the device such as display, camera, processor, RAM, storage, battery, and the pricing.

So, here are how these specs will affect the real-life usage of a device and why how we meticulously consider each of these points to rate a smartphone.

Cameras have evolved a lot over the last few years and multi-camera setup is a new norm. We consider various parameters like MP count, aperture size, pixel size, image stabilization to rate a camera system of a smartphone out of 5. Any device that scores more than 3.5 can take good photos and videos and if a phone scores over 4, then it will be one of the best camera smartphones in the market.

Though battery seems like an underrated feature and we look at the battery capacity, fast charging supporting technology, and even the wireless charging capability is also taken into consideration to rate smartphone's battery capability.

The display is the face of a smartphone. And there are a lot of parameters like the panel technology (IPS LCD, OLED, TFT) and other parameters also taken into consideration like the resolution, pixel density, and refresh rate.

Value for Money

A smartphone could have great specs, but if it is not priced well then you might not get the best value-for-money. So, we compare a smartphone with the contemporaries to rate the value-for-money of a device out of 5.

This aspect is decided on various sub specifics, such as availability of microSD card slot, the amount of RAM the device offers, processor capability, and the network support. This parameter has more weightage when compared to other departments.
